D E M L I N
HISTORY
DEMLINE [Danube East Mediterranean Line], established in
Beirut in 1953, started out with one carrier, the S/S ANNOULA K. and
by 1975 owned eight dry cargo vessels.
Via the Danube ports of and Galati,
DEMLINE
ensured shipments of Jordanian phosphates from Beirut to and return consignments
of general cargo for the East. By the late fifties,
DEMLINE inaugurated new routes: its vessels
called at and on a regular basis and crossed the Suez Canal to destinations
In May 1975,
DEMLINE added a new luxury liner to it's
fleet, the M/V LIBAN, which could carry 425 passengers as well as 2000 tons of reefer
cargo and 4000 tons of general cargo. The M/V LIBAN cruised regularly between Marseilles,
Piraeus, Alexandria, Beirut and Constanta
DEMLINE EGYPT was established in 1984, in alexandria, under
the investment law in EGYPT with a fully paid capital of usd 5 million and total
assets on usd 20 million and owns 5 roll on / roll off vessels of a capacity of
60 to 100 trailers
DEMLINE EGYPT has operated as a private shipping agency
for the past twenty two years for all cargoes discharged / loaded from her owned
egyptian flag vessels and have thus a wide experience in this field as compared
to all other private agencies who only started operating as fully fledge agents
in july 98 when the shipping sector was liberalized in egypt.
